<p>There are many things to pull you off your path of dieting discipline. Parties, get togethers, plates of cookies mysteriously appearing at work. That cake that you feel obligated to have a piece of. However, there are a couple things you can do that can help. Read on.</p>
<p>The first is the best, and the hardest. Pure willpower. To feel that strong desire to shove all the cookies you can see in your mouth, but stand there smiling and not eating anything. Then going home and eating a bowl of oatmeal. It&#8217;s no wonder this is the least popular strategy. While you&#8217;ll feel really good if you keep to this, it won&#8217;t be much fun.</p>
<p>Another way to handle this is to prepare yourself before you encounter any temptation. Drink lots of water, snack on low calorie foods that fill you up. This requires looking at cookies and cakes as the enemy, which can be hard to do when your sweet ninety-seven year old neighbor brings over bowl of homemade cookies.</p>
<p>The most popular strategy is to just suspend all hope completely of not gaining any weight, and eat to your hearts content. <p>2. Negative hormone production: High protein eating translates into more cortisol being released into your body. And not only does cortisol break down muscle protein, but it also decreases immunity. So make sure you are well aware of this.</p>

But there are a couple of often overlooked tricks that can help you dramatically.</p>
<p>Most people are focused on what they eat. But when you focus on when you eat, it can have a dramatic effect on your waistline. Studies have shown that when you eat all your calories in a small amount of time, your body is more prone to store it as fat. When you eat the same amount of calories spread out over the whole day, you burn most of them as energy.</p>
<p>This works just as well for us. Take whatever food you eat, and spread it out. Eat earlier, eat later, eat in between. Don&#8217;t change what you eat, just change when you eat. This can have a powerful effect on your metabolism.</p>
